I first read the word Namaste maybe 12 years ago. I remember reviewing an email series published by a lady who was educating her readers on the value of certain health supplements. She always signed her messages Namaste. Since she was a little, let’s say, non traditional I had this impression Namaste had something to do with a religious sect or cult. Of course I wouldn’t at that time have spent any time researching the meaning of the word. That would have been like asking for directions.

Last year while sitting in a Sunday service at First Unity, Rev. Temple Hayes greeted us with the word Namaste and she explained the meaning for her which I ultimately came to understand and adopt. She said: Namaste! “the God in me, recognizes and honors the God in you!”

I have researched New Thought Spirituality and like many people have read quite a few books, listened to tapes and CD’s, attended services and a few seminars. I have done this because my life plan had not been working as intended. I discovered, that many like minded people had begun to deepen their spiritual consciousness as a result of less than desirable events in their life - like me. I recently learned to be thankful for all events in life and recognize that often the best lessons are in the difficult experiences.

Out of my personal research, I arrived at a very clear belief system for me. This belief system is one I share in teaching others in person and in articles mainly posted right here. In the last month I have spent more time with one book than I have with most others. The book is Happier Than God by Neale Donald Walsch. If you really study resource materials, The Law of Oneness is very evident. This is not new. I am not a historian and certainly not a biblical scholar. However, consider Moses and the burning bush where God said in response to the question by Moses …what is your name? God said I Am That, I Am. James

Twyman in his book and movie The Moses Code taught that the Moses Code is the coma. “I Am That” means the Divine Energy within me is the same energy within all and specifically what I am observing or visualizing. “I Am” confirms the response from God… “I Am ” God didn’t say “You Are” God said “I Am.” In other words, you are what you observe or visualize and in “I Am” God is confirming Divine Energy that is within the observation or visualization is you.

This energy frequency actually propels manifestation as it did for Moses when he manifested demonstrations for the Pharaoh to confirm the importance of freeing the Israelites. This was a direction from God. Moses didn’t appear to understand this Energy came from within him. Moses it seems was still looking to God “out there.” Jesus clarified this “the Kingdom of God is within”

We are one. What we do for another we do for ourselves. If we teach a group Oneness, Unconditional Love and Divine Intelligence, the multiplier effect kicks in as described by Neale Donald Walsch. In essence the energy going out to another or a group expands. When they share that enlightenment and energy and it all comes back multiplied. We get what we want by helping others get what they want. We help others get what they want by helping them understand what we all really want is peace, security, freedom and love.

All of us have different definitions of how those wants are manifest. Those differences are what makes this all work as we live our individual intent and purpose. But while we are individuals and have individual desires and skills we are One. When we really get that and live it, hate goes away, crime goes away, war goes away, starvation goes away, abuse goes away. For when we really get it then we do treat life as we want to be treated even by ourselves.
